The Francis report - What's the big deal?

In 2010, the government commissioned Robert Francis QC to report on failings in care at the Mid-Staffordshire NHS Foundation Trust between 2005 and 2008. His report is lengthy and damning in equal measures.

Trainee doctors working on the frontline we have a unique role - they see what happens day to day, and rotating through different hospitals throughout their training gives them the ability to make comparisons.

In this one-page briefing attached below, FMLM trainee members highlight why they think it is important that junior doctors understand the Francis Report. More importantly, they have highlighted how to speak, act and lead changes in response to the report.
